Former minister-president obtains seat on supervisory board of the Weber Motor AG.

Erwin Teufel, former minister-president of Baden-Wuerttemberg, to become member on supervisory board of the Weber Motor AG. This was announced yesterday following a special meeting of the supervisory board held at the IAA in Frankfurt.

Markdorf/Frankfurt – Former minister-president Erwin Teufel to become a member of the supervisory board of the Weber Motor AG. On the occasion of a special meeting of the supervisory board held at the IAA in Frankfurt, stockholders Albert and Christian Weber announced the appointment of former minister-president Erwin Teufel as a member on the supervisory board of the Weber Motor AG.

“We are proud to have won former minister-president Erwin Teufel as a member on the advisory board of our corporation. We look forward to the good cooperation and future input for the company on behalf of Mr. Teufel”, so supervisory board chairman Albert Weber.

The Weber Motor AG also announced that the decision of former minister-president Erwin Teufel in becoming a board member was made easier owing to the fact that the Weber Motor AG belongs to a mid-size enterprise group under complete family-ownership.

As member of the mid-sized Weber Automotive Group, the Weber Motor AG currently employs over 100 employees at the Markdorf location. The company’s core product is the MPE 750 Weber engine, a consequently downsized engine for automotive and recreational applications. The current export share is above 90 %.

The Albert Weber Corp. was founded more than 35 years ago. The Weber Motor AG is the first and only engine manufacturer with the capability of assuring full back-traceability of all components down to the final product.
